Health visitor

All families with children in Lolland Municipality can avail of advice and guidance from health visitors.  The aim of municipal health services and health visitors is to support you and your family in the care of your child’s health and development.   This is achieved through various offers: 

• Pregnancy visits are available for first-time pregnancies and families with special needs  
• If required, a maternity visit within the first week of your child's life
• Seven home visits are offered to all families in first year of your child’s life
• The establishment of mothers groups where a health visitor attends the first meeting 
• Visits up to the first 18 months of the child’s life.
• Health talks and examinations of all children and young people at their school up to 6th class. 
• Participation of health visitors in the first parents meeting when your child starts their preschool class.   
• Pregnant women, families, children, and young with special needs receive further contact and home visits by health visitors, which involve and refer to other professional groups where necessary. 

Moreover, you can contact the health visitors at any time, if you are worried about the health or well-being of your child.
